An Evening With The i7...

Clients from both of our Eastern BMW (Edinburgh) and Grassicks BMW (Perth) dealerships were invited out to a special evening with their guests of choice. The all-new and fully electric i7 was of course the fitting method of luxury transport throughout these exclusive activities.

These evenings were split over two weeks, the first being the week commencing 9th January at the stunning Gleneagles Hotel and the second at the iconic 'The Witchery By The Castle' throughout the week commencing 23rd January.

Electrified for the first time, the new BMW i7 represents another level in luxury, comfort and innovation.

Gleneagles Hotel

In 1910, Donald Matheson, General Manager of the Caledonian Railway Company, was inspired to create Gleneagles while on holiday in Strathearn. He was so impressed by the local countryside that he conjured up the vision of a palatial country house hotel with a golf course. When Gleneagles first opened its doors in 1924, this magnificent countryside estate in the heart of Scotland was described as a 'Riviera' in the Highlands' and hailed 'the eighth wonder of the world'. The great band leader, Henry Hall, and his band performed at the opening Gala Ball, which made history when it was broadcast across the land on BBC Radio. Then, as now, the Gleneagles Hotel was a glorious playground for people dedicated to leisure and pleasure in the most luxurious surroundings.

In 1950 Gleneagles was a regular fixture on the high society calendar: the London was followed by yachting at Cowes, polo at Deauville and golf and grouse shooting at Gleneagles. By 1993 Jack Nicklaus designed and opened what is now the Centenary Course.

Gleneagles today now hosts guests through the hotel, fine dining restaurants and award winning spa and golf courses all keeping the heart and feel of the Perthshire countryside at its core. In a room with more than a touch of theatrical magic, The Strathearn is a classical Franco-Scottish fine dining restaurant with a real sense of romance. The walls of this iconic restaurant have seen nearly a century of history and exceptional dining experiences where we still offer the best in class no matter what we do to ensure the Strathearn puts the golden age of glamour back on the menu.

The Witchery By The Castle

Established 5 decades ago by James Thomson OBE, in a historic building at the gates of Edinburgh Castle, The Witchery takes its name from the many hundreds of witches burned at the stake, on Castlehill, during the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. It is reputed that more witches were put to death on Castlehill during the reign of James VI than anywhere else in Scotland and the area around The Witchery by the Castle remains steeped in history.

The Witchery occupies a historic sixteenth century building in Boswell's Court and boasts heraldic painted and gilded ceilings, based on those at the Palace of Holyrood House, reflect the close links of the Auld Alliance between France and Scotland and the tapestry-hung walls are panelled with seventeenth century oak rescued from a fire at St Giles Cathedral and panelling from a Burgundian Chateau. In 1990 James opened a second dining room, the Secret Garden, on an abandoned schoolyard, rapidly winning a Regeneration Award and being named as the La Ina Most Civilised Dining room in Scotland.

The Witchery proudly supports the work of some of Scotland's finest food producers, we use the best seasonal produce we can find. We source from foragers, farmers, fisherman, growers, cheese makers, smokers, butchers and gamekeepers who all nurture the best local produce available.

Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride.

Clients were picked up from their places of residence and chauffeur driven to the venue for their meal, accompanied by some wine of course. This allowed for our guests to really get to know the i7 and take advantage of the ground-breaking rear-seat experience.

From the foldable 31-inch 8K rear theatre screen to the Executive Lounge Seating with Sky Lounge Panoramic Glass Sunroof above, this chauffeur experience was one like no other and certainly added to the exclusive feeling of these evenings.

Established in our own right.
