A visit to the Accident Repair Centre
is something we could all do without - it is however
something that is at times unfortunately unavoidable.
In order to make your visit to the centre more enjoyable
we have paid attention to ensuring the reception and
waiting areas are as customer friendly as possible.
You can relax in the waiting room and enjoy a freshly
brewed coffee whilst sitting back in one of our comfy
leather seats. Why not read a magazine or watch a DVD
on our top of the range, flat screen, plasma T.V. Hopefully
you will not be waiting long, but while you are, we
would like to ensure your wait is as comfortable and
relaxing as possible.
PDI Centre
Within the site of the new
accident repair centre we also have the Eastern Western
Motor Groups Pre Delivery Inspection or PDI Centre.
This provides a thorough check on all new vehicles before
they are delivered to the showrooms for handover and
deals with approximately 500 vehicles per week.
In addition to the PDI centre there are 2 stand up power
wash bays and a Hercules Car Wash. The Hercules Car
Wash provides a top of the range service utilising a
water purification system. This purifies the water to
10 parts per million, ensuring a spot free rinse and
eliminating the use of a chamois.
Smart Repair
Our Smart Repair Booth is used to repair vehicles
that have endured small-scale localised damage to areas
such as bumpers, trims, windscreens and alloy wheels.
This service ensures a quick, one-day turnaround, avoiding
the full body shop process and provides localised repair
work to between 6 – 8 vehicles a day with the
help of 4 highly trained technicians.
The Workshop
The workshop accounts for 35000 square feet of the total
building space within the Groups Accident Repair Centre
at Broxburn. It provides equipment and facilities of
the highest standard, all installed to help reduce the
length of time your car is off the road, and to make
the whole Accident Repair Centre experience a better
one for you.
The workshop is manned by 30 highly trained
technicians who deal with repairs on up to 150 vehicles
per week, utilising some of the highly impressive new
equipment including a 3 bay Korek global jig, 2 separated
aluminium welding bays, the latest Invertor welding
equipment and computerised measuring systems. These
help ensure the accident repair process is carried out
to the highest standards, set by the strict manufacturer
guidelines, and in the most time efficient manner.
Spray Booths
A prominent inclusion within the new Accident Repair
Centre is that of 3 state of the art drive through spray
ovens, provided by USI Italia, one of the world’s
leading spray booth manufacturers.
Using direct drive motors and blower systems these ovens
ensure drying time is improved by up to 50% whilst still
providing optimum drying to manufacturers specifications.
The system directs high volume, filtered and heated
air vertically through the booths. This, combined with
either programmed exhausted or recirculated air cycles,
provides the most efficient way to cure paint, holding
down energy costs and improving throughput. The USI
spray booths can be used to colour anything from entire
vehicles to small individual vehicle parts.
In addition to the 3 spray ovens we also have a mixing
room, with dedicated colourist, where colour can be
matched by computer formulation set by the manufacturers.
Handover Bay
Our customer handover bay provides a covered pick up
point for the collection of your vehicle. This is especially
important in occasions of inclement weather when you
can go straight from our waiting room to the handover
bay without stepping foot outside. One of our trained
members of staff will then talk you through the repairs
that have been made to your vehicle whilst under cover,
away from the possible elements. Something especially
important throughout the winter months.
This provides another level of customer convenience
ensuring the handover process is as efficient and stress
free as possible
