Check all exterior and interior lights, brake lamps and indicators. Replace any blown bulbs before your MOT to avoid an unnecessary fail — it’s one of the most common reasons for vehicles not passing.
Top up your screenwash and inspect the wipers for splits or streaking. They must clear the windscreen properly and keep your view unobstructed in all conditions.
Inspect each tyre for cuts, bulges or uneven wear. The legal tread depth is at least 1.6mm across the central three-quarters of the tyre. Correct pressures can be found in your Audi handbook.
Look for any cracks, chips or obstructions within the driver’s line of sight. Make sure your mirrors are clean, securely attached and provide a clear view of the road.
Ensure number plates are clean, legible and firmly fitted. Test your horn to confirm it works and produces a steady tone loud enough to be heard by other road users.
