No problem at all for the ID.4: the optional towing bracket is designed for loads up to 750 kg (unbraked) or 1,000 kg (braked). If you don’t need the towing bracket at the moment, you can fold it under the bumper out of sight in a few easy steps.

The advantage of electric vehicles: charging is possible almost anywhere. At home, you charge with alternating current (AC charging) via a household outlet or with an optional ID. Charger, providing a charging capacity of up to 7.2 kW or 11 kW. Many public charging stations at filling stations and motorways also offer fast charging with direct current (DC charging).
The ACC adaptive cruise control with Car2X* technology aids the driver with a range of handy information and can actively intervene in the event of an emergency (within the limits of the system). Like at the end of a traffic jam, for instance. Permanent data exchange occurs via WiFi (pWLAN).

Through We Charge Volkswagen offers you the fitting solution for charging your ID.4 in public when on the go. Remarkably simple to use via the We Connect ID. app, you can find available charging stations nearby, plan routes with automatic charging stop recommendations and automatically pay for your charging via your We Charge charging tariff – including monthly billing and complete cost control. Throughout Europe you have access to approx. 150,000 charging points including the whole IONITY quick charging network, which offers varying preferential terms depending on the charging tariff. IONITY quick charging stations enable extremely short charging times and – where available in the country in question – operated with 100% renewable energy sources. The charging process at the charging stations can be started practically using the We Charge charging card or via the We Connect ID. app.

The new ID.4 is packed with technology. The interactive ID. Light welcomes you inside, before a subtle sound when starting the vehicle inspires you to drive off immediately. The dash panel in the ID.4 does without physical buttons and switches. The most important information is shown on a compact 13.5cm (5.3-inch) display above the steering wheel. You can operate the display with the multifunction steering wheel with haptic feedback buttons. You control the driving modes and the e-parking brake using the rocker switch on the right of the display. When you then leave your ID.4, the vehicle bids you farewell with light signals and sound.
With the silver roof frame and C-Pillar and black stepped roof, the new ID.4 1ST Edition offers you plenty of scope to create a shining exterior with your desired colour choice. This is a colour signature that plays with contrasts. Just like the ID.4 itself.
Using the ID. Light, your ID.4 also communicates visually and, in conjunction with the navigation system, helps you to get through traffic with even less stress. The car welcomes you and translates instructions from your infotainment and assist systems into light signals that guide you through the traffic more easily. As soon as you use the voice control, ID. Light responds to your voice. When you get out of the ID.4, the ID. Light bids you farewell – with light signals.
Avoid getting distracted by buttons or switches while driving. Keep your eyes on the road and easily control the radio, navigation system or your phone using intuitive voice commands. Just say “Hello, ID.” and the system will understand you.

Compared to a petrol-driven car, the drive components of an electric vehicle do not produce enough waste heat to adequately heat the vehicle interior. The solution: a highly efficient heat pump system compresses refrigerant under high pressure. The heat produced is used to heat up flowing cold air.
This uses less energy from the battery for the high-voltage heater, beneficially delivering greater range over electric vehicles without heat pump.
