Like all organisations we are closely monitoring the impact COVID-19 is having on business, colleagues, customers and business partners.
The clear message from Government is that all businesses must play their part to protect the most vulnerable in our society and ensure the NHS has the ability to cope with the inevitable increase in patient numbers who will be infected by the virus in the coming days and weeks.
For these reasons all Eastern Western Motor Group showrooms will close to customers from this evening 24th March.
It is not possible to give advice at this stage as to when they will be able to reopen.
Most of our service and parts departments will remain open to look after customers classified as ‘essential and vulnerable’. This is subject to short notice change in line with Government directives. Please refer to the individual dealership website for details. Every effort will be made to complete vehicles already booked in for a service, repair or MOT. Please be aware there are already shortages of spare parts which may affect our ability to complete some tasks. It is likely going forward the Government may only permit us to look after vehicles for ‘essential workers’ ie, NHS, rescue and support services, delivery drivers etc.
We would like to thank all our staff for their amazing dedication, professionalism and their ‘can do‘ attitude over the last couple of weeks as we have navigated our way through these incredibly difficult challenges. They really have been an incredible asset and we are immensely proud of what they have achieved.
During the next few days we will work together caring for our customers as well as looking after each other’s well being.
We are going through uncharted waters never having had to deal with these situations before. Much of it is learning and adapting as we go. Decisions will be made, not always with the right outcome but with the best intention based on information available at that time. We will be working with local communities to offer support to frontline workers helping them to stay safely on the roads.
Further updates on progress and developments will appear on our website... easternwestern.co.uk as well as all social media platforms.
We look forward to staying in touch and welcoming you back when we reopen.
