In response to the on-going situation in relation to COVID-19, we are responding accordingly in order to ensure we are able to continue to provide support for key business vehicles and customers who have been tasked with keeping the basic infrastructure of our country running at the capacity required to deal with the constantly evolving and concerning situation.
Up until now we have effectively been operating with our normal opening hours and almost full staffing levels, which we have been adjusting in relation to required support levels and adherence to social distancing.
We take our responsibility seriously with regards to the support required and also to ensure our staff are protected and remain healthy. To allow us to provide a level of support and to afford the necessary protection to our staff we are making changes to our opening hours and also having to suspend some of the Services we currently provide, in addition to this we need to apply some additional restrictions to ensure we all stay safe.
To ensure we protect our staff and ultimately you our customer from the effects of COVID-19, we are rigorously following all the NHS and Government guidelines issued and the changes we have made reflect this in terms of minimising staff contact by reducing the number of people present at one time on site, whilst balancing the level of support we need to provide.
As of Monday 30th March our opening hours will be as follows. Please note these are subject to further change as the level of support being requested is dropping quite dramatically as the Government restrictions are reducing vehicle movements considerably.
Western Commercial Bellshill, Western Commercial Broxburn, Western Commercial Govan
Monday to Friday - 0700 to 1600
Saturday - 0800 to 1200
Sunday - Closed
Western Commercial Dundee
Monday to Friday - 0700 to 1500
Saturday - 0800 to 1200
Sunday - Closed
*Please note we have a full dedicated S24h breakdown team covering the area 24/7 and we have taken steps to ensure continuity if we are exposed to any absence within the team.
In terms of a suspension of previously offered services, please be advised we can no longer offer Waiting Appointments, Loan Vehicles, Collection and Delivery.
There is now a restriction placed at the reception areas at all our sites where we will only permit one Service Customer in at any one time and we will only permit one Parts Customer in at any one time. At times our staff may ask you to wait in your vehicle until there is sufficient space or they may ask you to wait in another area of the building to comply with the guidelines. We are also asking all customers to clean their hands on arrival at a dedicated sanitising station and where a customer is dropping a vehicle off for Service then we are asking customers to place all keys into small plastic bags, which we are providing, and then leaving them in a container provided.
For Parts transactions we will no longer accept customers arriving on site and approaching the Parts counters with a new enquiry. All Parts supply requests must be carried out in advance of arrival and on arrival the parts relating to the transaction will be placed on a table or dedicated area for collection.
Please note we will no longer accept cash transactions.
There are also 2 metre distance restrictions in place and we ask everybody to adhere to these at all times.
All of the measures and changes we have made are with the sole purpose of being able continue to provide the service and support required to keep the basic infrastructure of the country moving and also to ensure the continued protection of our staff.
Finally, we thank you for your continued business and support and our commitment is to ensure we continue to provide the support for the key businesses still operating in the most challenging of times.
Stay safe and stay healthy.
Yours sincerely
Andrew Smith - Market Area Director
Derek Cotton - Aftersales Director
Rory Allen - Truck Sales Director
Simon Murray - Van Sales Director
