Important Update: Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) Increase from 1 April 2025

From 1 April 2025, the Government is increasing Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) rates for all new vehicle registrations. While this change affects all vehicles, those with higher emissions—such as the 2.5-litre petrol engine found in Mazda3 and CX-5 models—will see the biggest impact.

For example, from 1 April 2025, the Mazda CX-5, equipped with a 2.5-litre petrol engine, emitting approximately 162 g/km of CO₂ will increase to £680 from April 2025 compared to vehicles registered in February or March.

What This Means for You

Order Before April to Avoid Higher VED – If you're considering a new vehicle, registering it before 1 April 2025 could save you a significant amount.
Availability is Limited – March is expected to be a particularly busy month for vehicle registrations, so we encourage you to place your order as soon as possible.
