All-New Mazda CX-6e Unveiled at Brussels Motor Show

Mazda has revealed the all-new CX-6e at the Brussels Motor Show, marking a bold step into its electric future. This mid-sized SUV combines striking design, engaging performance and advanced technology. Powered by a 78kWh battery, the CX-6e delivers 258PS¹ and 290Nm of torque to the rear wheels. With a WLTP range of up to 300 miles² and rapid DC charging, it offers both long-distance confidence and everyday convenience. Inside, a 26-inch touchscreen, multilingual voice recognition and a full suite of intelligent safety features create a seamless, secure and engaging driving experience.

Power, Poise, and Pure Electric Confidence

Developed through global collaboration, the all-new CX-6e delivers Mazda’s signature Jinba Ittai driving experience with pure electric confidence. Its 78kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery powers a rear-mounted motor producing 258PS and 290Nm of instantly accessible torque, ensuring responsive control and linear acceleration.

Driving the rear axle via a single-speed transmission, the CX-6e accelerates from 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 115mph. A maximum DC charging rate of 195kW allows a 10–80% charge in just 24 minutes, while the onboard charger supports 11kW three-phase AC charging via Type 2 connectors for convenient home charging.

Technology and Convenience That Work Seamlessly Around You

The CX-6e’s interior blends technology and convenience. The smart cockpit is dominated by a sweeping 26-inch touchscreen with a dual-split layout, providing passengers access to information without distracting the driver. A large head-up display overlays navigation guidance onto the road, while gesture control allows drivers to quickly select pre-saved routes or control media without touching a button.

Multilingual voice recognition responds naturally to everyday commands – from adjusting the temperature and opening windows to navigating to your next destination. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto are included, alongside a dedicated app offering remote functions such as Bluetooth key sharing and battery charge management.

Safety You Can Rely On in Every Moment

Mazda sets a new standard for safety with the CX-6e, combining cutting-edge technology with family-focused design. Every model includes nine airbags and a network of high-definition cameras, millimetre-wave radar and ultrasonic sensors to enhance awareness. A full suite of driver-assistance systems, including Smart Brake Support, Lane Keeping Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring, ensures confidence on every journey, offering drivers and passengers uncompromising protection.

Dare To Be Different

The CX-6e elevates Mazda’s Kodo – Soul of Motion design language with its ‘Soulful Futuristic Modern’ theme, blending advanced technology with sculptural elegance. Its extended 2,902mm wheelbase and short overhangs provide versatile load-carrying capabilities, with a 468-litre luggage space expanding to 1,434 litres with the rear seats folded. Seven exterior colours are available, highlighted by the Nightfall Violet hero colour – a deep, glossy shade that shifts from purple to near-black depending on the light.

The sleek profile hides a spacious and intelligently configured cabin inspired by the Japanese concept of Ma, the beauty of empty space. Head, leg and shoulder room is generous for all occupants, and interiors are offered in three variations: Warm Beige or Black Maztex³ in Takumi models, or two-tone Amethyst and White Maztex in the Takumi Plus.

Alongside the CX-6e, Mazda also presented the all-new CX-5 in Brussels, featuring an updated Kodo Design language and refined driving dynamics. The CX-5 will be available in a striking new body colour, Navy Blue, developed collaboratively by Mazda’s European R&D Centre. The all-new CX-5 arrives in the UK this summer.
