Marking the last year of production for the Touareg combustion engine model, the Final Edition celebrates a vehicle that has redefined what a luxury SUV can be. UK pricing and specifications will be confirmed soon.
Since its launch in 2002, the Touareg has embodied Volkswagen’s entry into the luxury SUV market — combining timeless design, refined comfort, and pioneering technology. Over the years, it has become a symbol of Volkswagen’s engineering excellence, setting new standards for capability both on and off the road.
Today, the Touareg remains a technology leader, bringing innovations once reserved for high-end vehicles to a wider audience and serving as a benchmark for quality and sophistication.
The Touareg Final Edition features unique details that set it apart inside and out.
Laser-engraved ‘Final Edition’ lettering adorns the window surrounds, while bespoke embossing can be found on the leather gear lever. The cabin atmosphere is enhanced with multi-colour ambient lighting, available as standard from the Black Edition upwards, with illuminated Final Edition badging on the dashboard and door sills.
It’s a design that captures the confidence, quality and understated sophistication that have always defined the Touareg.
The Final Edition stands out with exclusive design details inside and out. Each model features laser-engraved “FINAL EDITION” lettering on the rear window surrounds and embossed branding on the gear lever.
Inside, multi-colour ambient lighting comes as standard (available from the Black Edition trim upwards), highlighting illuminated Final Edition badging on the dashboard and door sills.
It’s a fitting tribute to the Touareg’s legacy — blending elegance, craftsmanship, and technology in one sophisticated package.
Volkswagen’s first luxury SUV arrived with off-road capability and cutting-edge engineering, including air suspension and electromechanical roll stabilisation. The range-topping V10 TDI offered 313 PS and an astonishing 750 Nm of torque, setting benchmarks for performance and refinement. Over 471,000 units were sold worldwide.
The second generation introduced more space, efficiency, and innovation — including Volkswagen’s first-ever hybrid SUV. The Touareg 3.0 V6 TSI Hybrid combined petrol and electric power for a total of 380 PS, while maintaining impressive off-road ability. Over 483,000 units found homes across the globe.
The current generation refined everything once more — a lighter steel-and-aluminium body, digital cockpit, advanced driver assistance, and luxury comfort. The range-topping Touareg R Plug-in Hybrid delivers 462 PS and 700 Nm of torque, combining performance with efficiency. More than 265,000 units have been sold since 2018.
