Prelude Concept marks 25-years of Honda’s hybrid excellence
Honda is marking 25 years of hybrid success with the European debut of the Honda Prelude which is set to join Honda's fully electrified mainstream lineup in the first half of 2026.
The Prelude Concept signals a car with a perfect balance of driving pleasure and efficiency, embodying Honda’s commitment to electrification in a dramatic and dynamic form.
A true sporty hybrid
The original Prelude made its debut in 1978 and over the next twenty years, and five generations, served as a showcase for Honda’s cutting-edge design and technology. The sixth generation will be a fitting return for the Prelude name and will deliver a blend of original style and sophistication coupled with Honda’s advanced hybrid powertrain. A winning combination that we call ‘the joy of driving’.
