Western Mercedes-Benz recently hosted the highly anticipated Experience AMG Event 2024, a celebration of automotive excellence set against the breathtaking backdrop of Scotland's picturesque Borders region. Held on Sunday 16th June, this exclusive event marked the launch of the Eastern Western Performance & Prestige Club, promising a day filled with luxury, performance, and unforgettable moments.
From the outset, the event dazzled with a lineup of the finest AMG models, including several iconic vehicles from our very own AMG fleet. These models, alongside others transported exclusively for the occasion by Mercedes-Benz UK, formed the heart of an exhilarating journey through Scotland's most stunning routes.
The experience commenced at our state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz of Edinburgh West dealership in Newbridge, where our customers gathered to embark on a memorable adventure. From there, the convoy made its way to the historic Duns Castle, providing a picturesque pause to admire both the vehicles and the scenery. To add to the delight, we had arranged for S Luca Ice Cream to be there with their iconic Rolls-Royce ice cream truck, where their team handed out tasty Scottish-made ice creams to our guests. As the day unfolded, guests were treated to an exceptional round-off ceremony and gourmet meal at the enchanting Archerfield Walled Gardens, where the spirit of luxury and refinement echoed throughout.
This event allowed our clients to get to know the cars in an extremely dynamic fashion, having them out on the road and behind the wheel. Unlike traditional test drives that are often limited to a short and controlled route, our Experience AMG Event provided an immersive opportunity for clients to fully engage with the vehicles in various real-world conditions. Navigating through city traffic, cruising on highways, and handling winding country roads offered a comprehensive feel for the performance, handling, and comfort of each AMG model. This hands-on experience was invaluable, giving clients a deeper understanding and appreciation of the craftsmanship and engineering excellence that define the Mercedes-Benz AMG brand.

Duns Castle, located in the Scottish Borders, is a historic fortress with origins dating back to the 14th century. The castle features a blend of architectural styles due to various modifications over the centuries, most notably in the 19th century when it was remodelled by the architect James Gillespie Graham. Surrounded by extensive parkland and scenic gardens, Duns Castle is not only a private residence but also serves as an exclusive venue for events and weddings, offering a picturesque and storied backdrop for any occasion.

Archerfield Walled Garden, located in East Lothian, Scotland, is a charming and historical estate known for its beautifully restored 18th-century garden walls. The garden offers a delightful mix of heritage, horticulture, and hospitality, making it a popular destination for visitors seeking tranquility and natural beauty. Within this picturesque setting, guests can explore an array of seasonal plants, stroll through the woodland trails, and enjoy the serene pond area.
For our event, lunch was served in the estate's inviting barn. The Barn, is a stylish and rustic venue designed for outdoor gatherings. Featuring a mix of open-air and sheltered seating, it boasts upmarket beer garden vibes, a kitchen, and a bar. The space is adorned with festoon lights, heaters, and a striking suspended floral installation.
We also arranged access to the front of the iconic Archerfield House to use as a backdrop for a quick photo opportunity with all cars. This unfolded after our meal, and once complete we headed back to the dealership.
