With an all-electric range of up to 563 miles* (WLTP) and signature BMW Sports Saloon driving dynamics, every detail is focused on the driver. The new BMW i3 Saloon is designed for long-distance electric driving, with the BMW i3 50 xDrive First Edition offering up to 563 miles of WLTP range. Actual range will vary depending on factors including driving style, weather, road conditions and use of heating or air conditioning. BMW's wider new i3 Saloon range is expected to offer WLTP ranges from around 503 to 563 miles, depending on model and specification.
The new BMW i3 50 xDrive First Edition supports DC rapid charging at up to 400 kW. At a suitable rapid charging station, BMW states that the car can add enough energy for up to 263 miles of WLTP driving in around 10 minutes. AC charging is also available, with the First Edition supporting charging at up to 22 kW from a compatible Wallbox.
Yes. The new BMW i3 Saloon is a fully electric BMW, with no petrol or diesel engine. The i3 50 xDrive First Edition uses electric motors on both the front and rear axles, producing a combined 345 kW (469 hp) and giving it all-wheel drive.
The BMW i3 50 xDrive First Edition can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.7 seconds. Its dual-motor xDrive electric drivetrain combines strong performance with the instant response associated with an electric vehicle.
