The Nissan Micra is one of Nissan’s all-time best selling cars. Compact, east to drive and cheap to own and run, the Micra is a firm UK favourite for everybody from first-time drivers to the elderly. However, just because the Nissan Micra is reliable, safe and cost-effective to run doesn’t mean it’s boring. The new Nissan Micra has a much sportier drive, slick interior and plenty of technology.

Doing up to 91MPG on motorways, the Nissan Micra is incredibly fuel efficient and nimble for city/town driving. Longer and wider than previous models, the Micra is available in two three-cylinder petrol engines and one four-cylinder diesel engine (a 1.5L engine capable of 89bhp) – all in manual five-speed gearbox. Entry level new Micras receive automatic lights, automatic wipers, electric windows, 15in steel wheels, electric adjustable wing mirrors, rear roof spoiler, LED lights, front fog lights, hill start assists, lane departure warning alert system and an emergency braking facility. For a little extra drivers can install air conditioning, engine stop/start technology, cruise control, traffic sign recognition, reversing camera, rear parking sensors, upgraded alloys, leather seating and a Bose sound system.
