Exciting New Nissan EVs Coming Soon to Western & Barnetts Nissan

Nissan is gearing up for an electrifying future with the launch of two brand-new electric vehicles in 2025 and another to follow in 2026. Alongside these new arrivals, an updated version of Nissan’s innovative e-POWER technology will enhance one of the UK’s best-selling cars, the Qashqai.

Return of the Iconic Micra – Now Fully Electric

The much-loved Nissan Micra is making a comeback in 2025 as a stylish, all-electric urban vehicle. Designed in London at Nissan Design Europe, the new Micra will stay true to its iconic DNA, offering bold styling, simplicity, and practicality in a compact package.

Built on the AmpR Small platform shared with Renault’s R5, the new Micra will be available with two battery options: 40kWh and 52kWh, delivering a range of over 248 miles. Production will take place at the Ampere ElectriCity plant in Douai, France, with sales set to begin before the end of the year.

Third-Generation LEAF Arrives in 2025

A name synonymous with Nissan’s EV revolution, the LEAF, is entering its third generation in 2025. This next iteration boasts a striking aerodynamic design and is built on Nissan’s CMF-EV platform, shared with the ARIYA SUV.

Manufactured at Nissan’s Sunderland plant as part of the EV36Zero project, the new LEAF represents a major step forward in Nissan’s commitment to sustainable mobility. This flagship EV hub integrates vehicle production, battery manufacturing, and renewable energy solutions, ensuring a greener future for UK car manufacturing.

Enhanced Qashqai e-POWER for Greater Efficiency

Nissan’s innovative e-POWER technology, introduced in 2022, is getting a significant upgrade this year. The Qashqai, one of the UK’s best-selling cars, will benefit from enhanced efficiency, lower emissions, and a more refined driving experience, bringing it even closer to a full EV feel.

Nearly 250,000 e-POWER-equipped vehicles have been sold across Europe, and the latest refinements will continue to make it a top choice for those who want an electric drive without the need to recharge.

Next-Generation Juke EV Set for FY26

The third-generation Nissan Juke is set to launch in FY26 as a fully electric model. Inspired by the Hyper Punk concept car, first revealed at the Japan Mobility Show in 2023, the new Juke will deliver an exciting, futuristic design while staying true to its reputation as a dynamic urban crossover.

The Future is Electric at Nissan

Speaking about Nissan’s bold EV strategy, Leon Dorssers, Regional Senior Vice President for Sales & Marketing at Nissan AMIEO, said:

“The renewal of Nissan’s European line-up is the realisation of our bold plan to electrify our range in Europe. All the new models will share common Nissan DNA: striking design, technical innovation, and intuitive technology – a combination of qualities that will attract new buyers while continuing to appeal to our loyal customers.”

David Moss, Senior Vice President of Region Research & Development, AMIEO, added:

“As well as welcoming the return of the Micra as an EV and the third generation of our revolutionary LEAF, we’ve made significant steps with one of our most popular technologies.

With updates to e-POWER making it even more efficient and refined, it will remain the powertrain of choice for those who want the feel of driving electric without the need to recharge.”

Nissan’s commitment to electrification is part of a broader global strategy, with key model launches planned across Japan, the US, China, Latin America, the Middle East, India, Africa, and Oceania.
