Oliver Rowland secures fourth in the Drivers' Championship as Nissan Formula E Team ends the GEN3 era sixth in the Teams' standings
Nissan Formula E Team brought the 2025/26 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship and the GEN3 era to a close with a double points finish at the final two London E-Prix races.
Racing at ExCeL London, Oliver Rowland scored points in both races of the season finale weekend, while teammate Norman Nato secured a top-10 finish in Sunday's final race.
The result saw Rowland finish fourth in the Formula E Drivers' Championship, marking his third consecutive season finishing inside the championship's top four. Nissan Formula E Team ended Season 12 sixth in the Teams' Championship, while Nissan finished fifth in the Manufacturers' Championship.
The final weekend of Formula E Season 12 proved challenging for Nissan Formula E Team, with both drivers facing difficult qualifying sessions.
Oliver Rowland and Norman Nato were unable to progress to the Duels during Saturday's qualifying session, starting the race from 13th and 16th respectively.
Rowland's race strategy was compromised by a poorly timed Full Course Yellow, but the Nissan driver produced a strong late-race recovery to finish 10th.
He also secured the bonus point for recording the fastest lap.
Nato made progress during the opening lap before contact with another driver resulted in a puncture. Despite the setback, he battled through the remainder of the race to finish 15th.
The final race of Season 12 and the final E-Prix of the GEN3 era presented another difficult qualifying session.
Rowland started Sunday's race from 17th, while a technical issue prevented Nato from completing a qualifying lap, leaving him 19th on the grid.
Nissan Formula E Team adopted an energy-saving strategy during the early stages of the race, with both drivers waiting until later in the E-Prix to use their Attack Mode activations.
After spending much of the race outside the points, both drivers pushed hard during the closing stages.
Rowland climbed through the field to finish ninth, once again claiming the bonus point for the fastest lap. Nato followed closely behind in 10th, giving Nissan Formula E Team two cars inside the points at the final chequered flag of the season.
The London results brought Rowland's Season 12 campaign to a close with fourth place in the Drivers' Championship.
The Nissan driver remained in contention for the title until the final weekend and recorded podium finishes in São Paulo, Mexico City, Jeddah and Berlin during the season.
Finishing inside the top four for a third consecutive season represents another strong championship result for Rowland and Nissan Formula E Team.
Norman Nato finished 19th in the Drivers' Championship, having contributed valuable points throughout the campaign, including a fifth-place finish in Berlin.
Season 12 featured several major highlights for Nissan Formula E Team.
The team secured six podium finishes, including a memorable victory at the Monaco E-Prix.
Despite a difficult period in China, the team finished the campaign strongly, scoring points in each of the final four races at Nissan's home event in Tokyo and the season finale in London.

The London E-Prix also marked the end of the GEN3 era of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship.
Nissan Formula E Team entered Season 9 as a new team and has built an impressive record during the GEN3 era, including 21 podiums, seven victories and a Drivers' World Championship.
The team will now focus its attention on the development of its GEN4 Formula E challenger ahead of Season 13.
Official pre-season testing for the 2026/27 Formula E season is scheduled for November, ahead of the beginning of the championship's next era.

"We weren't quite there with the pace in qualifying this weekend, which made it difficult to fight for the results we were aiming for. While we didn't achieve our goals for the event, we're happy to finish the season on a positive note with two good comeback drives and both drivers in the points. Overall, it has been a season of ups and downs; we've had some really strong results, but we've been inconsistent. At times it hasn't been easy, but everyone in the team has done everything possible to give us the best chance at every event, keeping us in contention for the Drivers' Championship until the last weekend and fighting for points until the very end, so a big thank you to the whole team and the drivers for their efforts and for never giving up.
"Looking back at GEN3 as a whole, we have been on an incredible journey. We were a new team for the start of Season 9, and we end this era with 21 podiums, seven wins and a Drivers' World Championship, so we can be very proud of what we have achieved. As this chapter comes to an end, I want to take the opportunity also to wholeheartedly thank Norman, who has been a huge part of our project in GEN3. He's been with us for three out of these past four years and took the very first podium of Nissan Formula E Team back in Season 9. "We knew coming into the weekend that this circuit isn't our strongest, so after two difficult qualifying sessions it was always going to be tough to score the points we needed. "It was a tough weekend, but I'm happy to finish the season with a top-10 result in the final race. Overall, it's been a difficult year because I honestly feel like I've driven better than ever, but for different reasons we just couldn't turn that into the results we deserved. With Season 12 complete, Nissan Formula E Team now turns its attention to the next generation of electric racing technology.
The development of the GEN4 Nissan Formula E challenger will be the team's primary focus ahead of the 2026/27 championship, as Nissan looks to build on its achievements during the GEN3 era.
For Nissan, Formula E continues to provide an important platform for developing and demonstrating electric vehicle technology in a competitive environment, with lessons from the racetrack helping inform the company's wider electrification strategy.
Nissan's involvement in Formula E reflects the company's long-term commitment to electric mobility and performance.
As the championship enters its next technological era, Nissan Formula E Team will be aiming to add to its record of victories, podiums and championship success when Formula E Season 13 gets underway.
