Nissan GB Welcomes New Sales Director Ahead of Exciting Electric Future

Western & Barnetts Nissan is pleased to share that Nissan GB has appointed Ed Jones as its new Sales Director, with his new role commencing on 16th June 2025.

This marks a return to Nissan for Ed, who brings a wealth of experience from across the automotive sector, including the past seven years at Audi UK, where he held senior positions in national sales operations and leasing. His return comes at a pivotal moment for the brand as Nissan accelerates into an electrified future with the rollout of new EV and e-POWER models.

“I’m delighted to be returning at such an exciting time,” Ed said. “Nissan was the only brand with two models in the UK’s top five best-sellers in 2024, and with continued double-digit growth and increased market share, the momentum in 2025 is strong. I look forward to working closely with colleagues across the brand and our valued retailer network.”

With a proven track record in dealer operations, fleet, and electric vehicle product development, Ed’s leadership will support the brand as it continues to evolve. During his earlier tenure with Nissan GB, Ed held several roles across Sales and Marketing, progressing quickly and delivering strong results.

Now, as Nissan prepares to launch the all-new British-built LEAF, joining the ever-popular Qashqai and Juke, Ed’s expertise will be instrumental in driving forward the brand’s vision of innovation and customer focus.

“With Nissan’s rich heritage in innovation, I’m excited to return to a brand that continues to lead the way in electrification,” Ed added.

A Strategic Appointment for a New Chapter

Mayra González, Divisional Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Nissan Europe, commented:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Ed back to the team. His breadth of experience in UK sales, fleet and EV strategy will be vital as we prepare for a bold new chapter with transformative new models and technologies. He will play a key role in supporting our retailer partners and driving continued success.”

Ed succeeds Michael Auliar, who leaves Nissan at the end of March to pursue a new opportunity.

“We thank Michael for his significant contributions to Nissan in several key markets, including the UK and Nordics,” added Mayra. “We wish him every success in his future endeavours.”

Looking Ahead

At Western & Barnetts Nissan, we’re excited about the future of the brand—with Ed Jones at the helm of UK sales, a dynamic line-up of electrified vehicles on the horizon, and a continued focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer experience.
