Nissan: The Only Brand with Two Cars in 2024’s Top-Five Best-Sellers – Both Built in Britain

Nissan secured a unique milestone in 2024 as the only car brand with two models in the top-five best-sellers list. A total of 76,872 new car buyers chose the British-built Qashqai and Juke, reinforcing Nissan's status as a leader in the UK automotive market.

  • Two Top-Five Models: Qashqai and Juke dominate the best-sellers list, a distinction no other brand achieved in 2024.
  • Strong Market Share: Nissan GB achieved a 5.14% market share, an increase of nearly 0.5% over 2023, with 100,446 units sold, representing a 12.3% year-on-year growth.
  • British Manufacturing Success: The Sunderland plant, the UK’s most successful vehicle manufacturing facility, celebrated a total production of 11.5 million cars since its inception in 1986. The plant has also produced 500,000 electrified cars in recent years, solidifying its leadership in sustainable vehicle production.
