Western & Barnetts Nissan is proud to share that fiscal year 2024 marked a record-breaking chapter for Nissan in Europe, led by the growing demand for electrified crossovers like the JUKE, Ariya, and Qashqai – with exciting new models set to supercharge the line-up in 2025.
In the 12 months ending March 31, 2025, Nissan recorded 378,900 vehicle sales across Europe, as customers continued to embrace the shift toward electric and electrified mobility. One of the year’s standout performers was the Nissan JUKE, which achieved its highest-ever annual sales with 104,000 units – a new milestone for the urban crossover since its original launch in 2010.
The fully electric Nissan Ariya also saw its best sales to date, with 20,600 units delivered across the region. Meanwhile, the Nissan Qashqai remained the brand’s top-selling model in Europe, with 166,800 units sold thanks to its wide appeal and innovative e-POWER hybrid offering.
Electrification played a major role in this success, with 45% of Nissan’s total European sales in FY24 coming from electrified vehicles – a number expected to climb even higher with the launch of two exciting all-electric models in FY25: the next-generation Nissan LEAF and the brand-new Micra EV.
“We’re thrilled to see European customers embrace Nissan’s electrified crossovers,” said Mayra González, Divisional Vice President for Marketing & Sales Europe. “With Ariya well-established and new models like the Micra EV and LEAF on the way, we’re excited to continue delivering on our electrification promise.”
Alongside the continued success of the JUKE, Qashqai, and X-Trail, Nissan’s e-POWER hybrid technology – offering EV-like driving without the need to plug in – will be upgraded in FY25 for even better emissions, efficiency, and refinement.
Looking ahead, 2025 will see the debut of the all-new Micra EV, designed in London and offering a choice of 40kWh or 52kWh batteries for a range of over 400km. Later in the year, the new LEAF will return with a bold redesign and will be produced at Nissan’s Sunderland plant in the UK, continuing the legacy of one of the world’s most iconic EVs.
Beyond that, Nissan is preparing for the future with:
These exciting additions will enhance Nissan’s growing EV and hybrid line-up, attract new customers, and continue to strengthen the brand’s position as a leader in electrified mobility.
