Legendary for its strength and practicality, the Hilux never stops evolving. Smooth, efficient and powerfully electric, the All-Electric Hilux features permanent all-wheel drive and great off-road performance.
Open for orders June 2026.
Engineered to offer zero-emissions at the tailpipe performance with practicality and lasting quality, the tough and agile design gives this iconic pick-up a powerful new look. The all-electric powertrain delivers a WLTP driving range of up to 159 miles*, efficient charging times and the exceptional durability you’d expect of a Hilux.
The All-Electric Hilux’s 59.2 kWh battery is mounted within the vehicle’s rigid body-on-frame structure, helping to protect it from damage and lowering the centre of gravity for optimised handling and stability. Compact eAxle drive units front and rear deliver impressive torque and traction, while the All-Electric Hilux’s suspension shrugs off rough terrain and varying load weights.
Designed for all-day comfort with complete control, the interior features intuitive multimedia, an ergonomic shift-by-wire drive selector and plenty of useful storage. The AW off-road controls are grouped for easy access to the Hilux’s all-terrain technology, including Multi-Terrain select. Five modes – Rock, Sand, Mud, Dirt and Mogul – optimise performance across a range of conditions. The Hilux BEV adapts automatically, delivering effortless off-road performance.

How far can I drive the All-Electric Hilux on one charge?
The All-Electric Hilux delivers an estimated driving range of up to around 159 miles* on a full charge, depending on load, terrain and driving style. Like all electric vehicles, real-world range can vary based on factors such as weather, payload, speed and use of onboard systems. We can help you understand how to get the best from every charge and maximise your day-to-day efficiency.
How do you charge the All-Electric Hilux?
Charging the All-Electric Hilux is easy. You can plug in at home or at your workplace using a dedicated EV charger, allowing you to top up the battery when you don't need the vehicle which is perfect for busy work schedules. If you need to top up your battery on longer journeys, use one of the growing number of public chargers across the UK. To make things even simpler, the Toyota HomeCharge EV charger offers convenient, reliable home charging designed to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
Can the All-Electric Hilux be driven off-road?
Absolutely. The All-Electric Hilux retains the legendary toughness the Hilux is known for. Its dedicated e-Axles and Multi-Terrain Select system help deliver confident performance on rough ground, ensuring you can take on challenging worksites and off-road routes, all without a traditional diesel powertrain.
Will the Hilux still be available with a diesel engine?
Yes, the Hilux will continue to offer the 2.8D diesel 48v engine, first introduced on the current generation Hilux in 2025. The 2.8D 48v system pairs a 2.8-litre diesel engine with a compact 48v lithium-ion battery that replaces the traditional alternator. This mild-hybrid setup enhances efficiency and delivers smoother, quieter and more refined performance, particularly during start-off and acceleration. The Hilux maintains its renowned capability - offering a payload of up to one tonne and towing capacity of up to 1,700kg, making it suitable for both work and off-road use.
