The G-Class is one of the few modern cars that is still hand-built with over 100 man hours of work and assembly to ensure that it’s engineering, aesthetics and finish are up to only the highest standard. Mercedes-Benz’ four wheel drive G-Class is the perfect vehicle for conquering any terrain having been tried and tested on Mercedes’ unforgiving mountainous Shockl test track. Rivalling the Land Rover Defender more than the Range Rover, the G-Class has a no-frills look with all the frills still included.
Classic boxy and large features such as the load compartment windows, side skirts and roof lines all indicate that the G-Class is an industrious and rugged beast. Yet, a closer look will reveal only the latest technology throughout – parking-assistance, rain-sensing wipers, reversing camera, ambient lighting, COMAND Online system, heated seating, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and even a surround sound system in the Black Edition G-Class.
Available exclusively in one petrol or one diesel engine, the five seater will forge 600mm of standing water and tackle any incline or decline using its traction control and low-range transfer.
