Honda Crowned Most Reliable Brand in 2025 What Car? Survey

Honda has reaffirmed its reputation for dependability, taking the top spot in the prestigious 2025 What Car? Reliability Survey with an impressive overall score of 96.6%.

The survey — one of the most comprehensive of its kind — gathered feedback from 32,493 UK car owners, assessing 30 brands and 227 models. Owners reported on any issues they’d experienced in the past two years, with faults rated by both repair cost and time spent off the road.

Honda’s victory was driven by the exceptional performance of its Jazz, HR-V, and Civic models, which all recorded minimal downtime and consistent reliability.

“This is an incredible achievement and one we are extremely proud of at Honda,” said Rebecca Adamson, head of automobile at Honda Motor Europe UK.

“Reliability is a cornerstone of our brand, and this recognition reflects the trust our customers place in us. In 2025 and beyond, we remain committed to delivering vehicles that not only inspire but also stand the test of time.”

Claire Evans, consumer editor at What Car?, added: “Honda is a deserving winner of this year’s What Car? Reliability Survey because all five of the models rated gained exceptionally high scores.

“Best of all was the current HR-V with a rating of 97.5%, followed closely by the latest Civic with 97.3%. Just 15% of the Honda vehicles in the survey had any issues and all were fixed for free by the car maker; more than half of the affected cars were in and out of the workshop in less than a day.”

For Western & Barnetts Honda customers, this result is further proof of the brand’s enduring commitment to quality, engineering excellence and peace of mind — ensuring that every journey is backed by the trusted reliability of Honda.
