Mercedes-Benz Group has started 2025 on a high note, recording 529,200 car and van deliveries worldwide during the first quarter. This solid performance reflects continued customer demand across key models, even before the highly anticipated arrival of the all-new CLA later this year.
Across the brand’s luxury lineup, Mercedes-AMG stood out with a remarkable 17% sales increase, while the iconic G-Class posted an impressive 18% rise in demand. Core models also performed exceptionally well, with the new E-Class seeing a 32% sales boost and the popular GLC SUV increasing by 14%.
The company’s commitment to electrification remains a driving force, as Plug-In Hybrid vehicles saw an 8% growth in sales globally.
Mercedes-Benz Cars delivered approximately 446,300 vehicles between January and March 2025, demonstrating resilience and adaptability in a dynamic market environment.
Vehicles in the Top-End Luxury segment — led by Mercedes-AMG, the G-Class, and Mercedes-Maybach — continued to strengthen their position, highlighting the brand’s focus on performance, design, and exclusivity. During the first quarter, Top-End vehicle sales reached 65,100 units, representing 14.6% of total car sales — a slight increase compared to the same period last year.
Mercedes-AMG delivered impressive growth across all regions, driven by the launch of new models including the GLC, CLE, E-Class, and GT. The G-Class, a customer favourite for its iconic design and rugged capability, also posted strong results with an 18% year-on-year increase.
In the Core segment, Mercedes-Benz delivered 263,400 vehicles, matching last year’s performance. The GLC SUV and E-Classremained among the most sought-after models, underscoring their strong appeal and trusted reputation among customers.
Electrified vehicles were another bright spot for the brand. Plug-In Hybrid sales grew 8% globally, as drivers continued to embrace electric mobility paired with the flexibility of hybrid technology.
