Taking a good image of the damage sustained on your vehicle enables us to give you the most accurate estimate for the cost of repair, here are some guidelines for you to follow to help you take the best pictures: Once you have taken your photographs, please email them to: reception@ewarc.co.uk.
Cleaning
If your vehicle is dirty then this may hide the severity and level of damage sustained in a photograph, therefore, it is suggested that you clean down the affected area if possible to remove any high levels of dirt.
Framing & Lighting
Try to make sure that you take your photograph at the same level that the damage is, taking a photograph from above or below may not provide the most accurate picture of the damage.
Take your photograph at a slight angle, as otherwise your reflection or the reflection of other objects may be shown which may distort the details of the damage.
Where possible, take your photographs in natural light so that the damage areas are visible as much as possible and watch out for glare from sunlight or lighting on your image, which may distort the areas of damage.
Take at least two photographs of each damaged area if you can, the first showing the damage from a distance that also includes undamaged areas i.e. the adjacent panel, and a second that is a close up of the damage.
Vehicle Information
Take a photograph of the dashboard with the vehicle running, clearly showing any warning lights. We also need a photograph of the chassis number, this is usually located in the door closing area of the vehicle.
